Margaret Mellor was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. She worked as executive secretary of the Des Moines Women’s Club from 1940 to 1965. She was a member of Plymouth Congregational UCC, PEO Chapter Q and Questers, and she was first governor of Region 7 of Altrusa. Her talk was recorded at Hoyt Sherman Place in 1973.
