General Information

Applicant must be a female (first, second, or third year) currently enrolled as a full-time student at the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Applicant may only apply for one Des Moines Women’s Club scholarship per year.
Only complete applications, including references, will be considered.
The scholarship recipient is requested to attend the DMWC Scholarship Award Program and Luncheon on April 17, 2024.
The scholarship award will be sent directly to the ISU College of Veterinary Medicine upon verification of registration and shall be applied toward tuition for the 2024-2025 school year.

Statement

Applicant must submit a short statement (maximum of 300 words) on what inspired you to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine, how you have prepared yourself for this career, and in what area you plan to specialize to the Des Moines Women’s Club office. Please include your name and Ann McColley Scholarship for Veterinary Medicine in the subject line. Essays will be judged on grammar, organization, content, clarity, and creativity.

Applicant must send three letters of recommendation to the Des Moines Women’s Club office at dmwclub@hoytsherman.org.
