“The Drama Department has one planning meeting held during the summer.  This meeting brings all the department members together to share ideas for our club-year programs.  We generally commit to three or four programs per year, two of which feature outside theatre or drama specialists in performances or workshops.  One program we reserve for the members of the club to present a dramatized reading from a book or a play.  These are special opportunities where the members of the Drama Department and other interested club members can participate in a production where they are not required to memorize or do difficult movements on stage and in a production where we provide vocal amplification for the benefit of those with hearing loss in our audiences.  We have a great deal of fun and it’s good for everyone.”
