Beverly Nagel Ellis will share the story of her parents surviving in a slave camp in Russia and their journey after they were liberated from the camp. We will hear how having a skill can save your life.
She will photos of the Nagel family's life in a Displaced Persons camp in Germany, and Jewish artifacts Bev’s mother was able to save from her home in Poland. Bev, an educator for more than 40 years, understands that presenting this workshop is an obligation of the Jewish People to ensure that this story is told, and that it never happens again.

She lives in Des Moines, IA, with her husband, Nick Renkoski, their children, Rocky and Effie, and their ever-expanding art collection.
